Nostradamus Leads to Meditation

The "Conversations with Nostradamus" series will always hold a special place in my heart. It was these books that pushed me to make a serious effort to figure out the truth for myself.

After reading these books, I felt certain that neither the author nor her subjects had fabricated the contents. Ordinary people were hypnotized by Dolores and she simply wrote down what they said. It was like she was communicating with an entirely different mind, through the same physical body. Could it be true that the universe contained hidden spiritual dimensions? Well, I was determined to find out for myself and since I wasn't about to let anyone hypnotize me, I instead pursued the next best method: meditation.

So while hypnosis produces immediate results, meditation is a much longer process. After some internet research, I decided that at least 3-6 months of 1 hour per day of meditation was required before results were guaranteed. In November of 2001, I made a firm resolve to meditate for 1 hour per day, 7 days a week for 6 months. If nothing happened, I would forget everything and go back to my normal routine.

Nostradamus on the Golden Age

After 9/11 rumors began flying around the internet that Nostradamus had predicted it. I did a quick search at the time and came across the Nostradamus FAQ. It was written in 1994 and has the following prediction that caught my eye:

i. American electoral college voting stalemate

The presidents of the U.S., a supposedly free country, have been abusing their power to an increasingly greater extent. During a time of social unrest even more so than the period of Viet Nam and Watergate, the electoral college will be evenly split over the election of the new president. The process will stalemate, with many people clamoring for whichever candidate they voted for, causing enormous tension in the country. Internationally it will be a sensitive situation.

The tie election between Bush and Gore had just happened. Here's a quote from the essay: The Mathematics of a Tied Election.

We have just experienced the closest election in history. Al Gore is ahead in the popular vote by approximately 0.35%. Bush's "certified" victory in Florida by 537 votes represents a margin of only 0.008%. It is the mathematical equivalent of flipping a coin and having it land on its edge.

Of course the circumstances described by Nostradamus are quite a bit off from what happened, but I still thought that to correctly call a tie election was quite impressive, so I bought all three of Dolores Cannon's "Conversations with Nostradamus" books.

I believe most of Nostradamus' prophecies are now behind us. The ones that remain are detailed in Part 7 of the FAQ where the transformation to the Golden Age is discussed.

b. The end of civilization

Civilization as you know it will cease to exist. (I. p53) Cities will no longer exist as we know them. (I. p56)

c. Geography
===

Continents as you know them now will cease to exist or change dramatically. (I. p52) All the central part of your continent as you know it will be [spared]. Continents all over the earth will be affected. The water mass as we know it now will cover a greater percentage of the earth. Continents that are connected will be split, divided by water that were not divided by water before. There will not be any country that is not affected. A large portion of Asia will be covered with water. Africa will have a channel cutting through it, a new strait. (I. p56)

d. Preparations/Survival

Make humanity aware. Let people prepare themselves spiritually. Intellectually become more aware of survival through climactic changes. (I. p53) Problems of survival will be hardest in countries turned into islands. (I. p69)

f. The New Age of spiritual rebirth

The shift will usher the beginning of a new age. (I p53, I. p56) Even though there will be physical deaths, there is no death of people's consciousness, but a different awareness. Do not feel that people would not know life. There will be those that will be left here to make a new beginning for the earth. (I. p56)

Whether the worst of the events prophecied come to pass, there will be a great spiritual rebirth throughout the world. Individuals will have the opportunities to "get in touch with themselves" and come to a realization about the falsehoods of materialism. After communication is restored after the time of troubles, people will come to this realization together, and a great rebirth of philosophy that blends the Eastern and Western religions will ensue.

It will be a worldwide movement upholding the Truth as everyone perceives it, bringing about the best aspects of the Age of Aquarius. Focusing on this "ray of hope" during the time of troubles could alleviate the worst aspects of the suffering, however the materialism of the majority of the population will regrettably make this unlikely.

Up until this point in my life I had never given spirituality a moment's thought, but after reading these prophecies I decided it was time. Thus my journey to the Golden Age began...
